I'm Getting Better
The shingles made me miserable for two weeks, then I turned a corner of sorts and started feeling better. Yesterday I went to church, secure in the knowledge that any open sores had healed and that I wasn't contagious. I wasn't aware of what a little outing like that can do to someone in a weakened condition until I tried to get out of bed this morning. Owwie!
About the most I can do around here is wash dishes and water my garden, but I want to get back to work and write a book! Nothing gives a writer grand ideas for projects like having a lot of time to think -- and knowing how uncomfortable it would be to sit at the computer for the hours needed to put it all in order.
Anyway, I know my limitations now. I can go down to the front garden and look at the hollyhocks, go up to the back garden and check on the progress of the blackberry lillies, and in between, take the spent blossoms off the pink petunias. That makes me tired us to write about it. I'd better go rest some more.

I sure hope you can get back to writing soon, but I'm glad you're feeling better. It sounds like you have a wonderful garden! You should take a photo and show it off.
Jane, I'm sorry to hear you've been ill. Shingles are not fun, I hear. Your blog background, or template, or whatever it is, is the same as mine!
