Still Better -- and Busy!

I'm feeling bettr every day. Yesterday I worked in the garden for two half-hour stretches, pulling weeds. It's best to pace oneself when weeding even if you're in the best of health.

But the things that have kept me busiest are involved with my writing. BUILDING PASSION was rereleased by Awe-Struck E-Books last week, so I've been trying to work on the promotion of that.

And I started the new book -- I'm 13,000 words into it so far -- and it's going pretty well.

I took the quilt that I blame for my shingles off the machine and am hiding it from my husband, because he wants to take it to the woman who machine quilts to have it finished. No way! I'll do it at my own speed and save the $100+ thank you very much. I've done a little piecing, but I've about decided that the big quilts are a thing of the past, unless I plan to have someone else quilt them. Too much stress.
And I'd rather spend the money on quilting than medicine.

I've made a list of things that stress me, and aside from my husband being the first five on the list, one of the other top one is the cat someone dropped off here, just a few days after the dog someone dropped off a while ago disappeared. It comes with living in the country, I guess. But I wish that if people were going to drop off animals they would be thoughtful enough to take them to a shelter and not expect someone to take the poor thing in.

Maybe I'll put him in my new book.
